Hi Sharon,
So, use the first bat pattern I link to in this post. Then, fold the 12″x 12″ black paper diagonally. And if you do this, you should be able to cut out two bats. The first printable bat, when folded, is 6 1/2″. But the big key is to fold the paper into a diamond shape as shown in the directions. I hope this helps!

What size black paper did you use? When I cut and assembled the three pieces, it measured 12″ . If you are putting the pattern on the fold, it would seem that I would need paper 24″ . Where does one find that?
