I just cut them in two so you place some frosting in between the layers. Also if you cut the mini bundt cakes is half and only want to use the top portion you can do that so that you have a rounded top and bottom to your pumpkin shape. That would leave you with a lot of unused bottoms. I think they probably have pumpkin shaped mini cake pans!
