In reply to <a href="https://happyhappynester.com/protect-furniture/comment-page-1/#comment-2662">Liz</a>.

Hi Liz,
Thanks for leaving a comment! Yes, I love glass tops! Our furniture would look so badly if I hadn't protected them. Also, I feel that they look so pretty with a little sparkle from the glass. So, I called around to all our glass companies and got estimates and I ordered and bought mine from the lowest priced bid. The edges are nice and smooth and the only tricky thing is transporting it if you order a big size. It can be heavy and you want to place it down evenly so it doesn't bend.

They make some clear rubber stoppers (they go in between the furniture and glass) that help keep the glass in place once you install on top of your furniture. Well, it actually took a little bit of the stain off, so I now just place the glass right on top of the wood. I've had no problems, it does tend to slide a bit.

Ikea now makes glass for some of their furniture, but they still don't have one for the coffee table I bought.

Good luck and let me know if you need any more help!

I was wondering how you got your glass tops. There used to be a glass shop near where we live...guy sold mirrors and glass in all shapes and sizes but the old family business finally closed.
Anywho, this is also a great idea for the tops of dresser drawers and (office) desks even.
Thanks for sharing.
