I love your post! It’s so nice to know about fun alternatives to the “touristy” stops du in a trip. I’ll have to check out the antique shops when our family visits next.

I’d love to see the Aquarium with my family and friends all around Cannery Row. I love the history attached to that area!

My family and I took a road trip up the California coast back in 2011 and we camped. It was a very rushed trip and we only got to stop for lunch in Monterey. I would love to spend some quality time exploring this area. It looked so beautiful

There are so many places to see in Monterey. I would to visit Cannery Row and the aquarium but the first thing I would want to do is go out and kayak.

In reply to Reesa. Reesa, Yes, you need to sneak away one of these weekends. Pacific Grove is such a cute and quiet spot to hang out. Also, if you go, eat lunch or dinner at Nepenthes! It overlooks the coast and the restaurant is made out of Redwood! Incredible!!!
