Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp milk you can substitute with almond or soy milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Frosting

  • 1 tbsp butter Room temperature
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese Room temperature
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ½ tbsp milk You can substitute with almond or soy milk
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 drop red food coloring Coloring your frosting is optional. I placed the dye on a plate and took a tiny bit of it and added it to my frosting.

Instructions

Cookie

  • In a medium-size (8oz) microwave-safe mug, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Melt butter in a pyrex measuring cup.
  • Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Microwave the mug on high for 40 to 60 seconds, or until the cookie is firm but not hard.

Frosting

  • Whisk together room-temperature butter and cream cheese. Add milk and vanilla extract and mix thoroughly.
  • Add the powdered sugar and whisk together until light and fluffy.
  • If you like, add food dye to the frosting.
