Melt butter and place in a slightly large bowl. Allow butter to cool down before adding the other ingredients.
Whisk eggs in a separate bowl and set aside. Once the butter is cooled down, add the half and half, pumpkin puree, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
Heat your pan on the stovetop on medium to low heat. Once heated add a generous amount of butter. If the butter doesn't melt immediately, You'll know if your skillet is at the correct temperature.
Soak the brioche slices one at a time in the batter. Make sure the egg mixture coats both sides of the bread. Allow soaking each side in the batter for about 30-60 seconds. Tap off excess egg batter from the bread and place it on a buttered pan.
Cook each side for about two to four minutes. Make sure not to burn toast and keep the heat low to medium.
Serve with maple syrup and or powdered sugar and whipped cream.
