Ingredients

  • ¾ cup bananas Mashed and can add about 1 cup if you want a super moist bread.
  • 1 avocado ripe and mashed
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt whole milk
  • ¼ cup cooking oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • cup flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan, or line it with parchment paper.
  • Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, mashed avocado, Greek yogurt, cooking oil, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined and the mixture is creamy.
  • Add Eggs: Add the eggs, one at a time, to the mixture, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Add Chocolate Chips and Nuts: Fold in the chocolate chips and, if desired, chopped nuts.
  • Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and use a spatula to smooth the top.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 50-60 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool: Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
    Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely.
