How to Make a Paper Flower Wreath DIY is the fun project that I created for the Seasonal Simplicity hosted by Krista from The Happy Housie. As some of you all know, I’m slightly obsessed with flowers and paper projects, and so I’m thrilled that I designed this happy spring wreath. I have a lot of paper crafts so you won’t want to miss my popular DIY Paper Cherry Blossoms Tutorial.
How I Came Up with This Paper Wreath
I initially planned to use faux cherry blossoms for my wreath, but I found that they looked way too plain and simple. At this point, I almost panicked but I kept my cool. Luckily I had about two weeks to design this wreath so I persevered over the next week.
So, I quickly returned the faux flowers and started perusing Etsy for some digital flower printables. I happily found these watercolor flowers that are simply gorgeous. So, once I printed them I carefully cut them out, and I glued them on my grapevine wreath. I made sure to place them and bend them so that they looked natural and most like real flowers.
So, while I was trying to figure out this wreath, I had the Magnolia Market image in my mind. Do you know the picture I’m talking about? The wall with pink paper flowers surrounding a wonderful quote about flowers. Isn’t it funny where we get our inspiration?
Well, I’m sure you are antsy to dig into this cool craft!

Paper Flower Wreath Directions
1. Print out Cherry Blossoms – (Fill out the form below to receive your free Cherry Blossom Printables)
2. Cut out all the flowers for your wreath.
3. Separate your flowers into piles.
4. Glue on the flowers to the wreath.
First, glue the light pink flowers onto your wreath with your glue gun. I tried to place them evenly around my wreath leaving even open spaces between them.
Next, place your darker pink flowers on your wreath doing the same in regards to spacing and balancing the colors.
Place your branches sporadically on the inner and outer edges and bit hidden.
5. I made my flower 3 dimensional by forming them like a flower, bending them.
Also, I placed them side by side and in places crowding them as a natural flower would.
8. Finally, attach your ribbon.
I tied my ribbon through the back of the wreath and through a vine. Then I placed a knot at that spot in the back and let the ends hang down. The top loop attaches to your wall hanger. I hope this makes sense?

I originally had a flat cardboard wreath frame but decided to give the grapevine wreath a try. I love the organic quality that the branches add to this beautiful wreath.

Since spring is popping up over here and the paper cupcake wrappers I had to share this photo with you. These fun floral liners, as well as the gingham, are so happy and pretty. I love this easy project so much that I’m already planning cupcake liners for Mother’s Day and 4th of July; my brain can’t stop creating. Someone help me, please!
Well, I’m off to work on my next project which is yummy French Macarons. My husband just tasted my little French cookies, and he happily gave it a two thumbs up approval! Ok, I’m so glad you stopped by today, and I hope I’ve inspired you with my how to make a paper flower wreath DIY post.
And btw, all my friend’s projects on this excellent tour look incredible, so happy crafting!
