Ginger beer mocktail recipe drinks are such a fun and refreshing treat, and I love how easy they are to make at home. With bubbly ginger beer, fresh citrus, and a few simple ingredients, this easy mocktail recipe comes together in just minutes and tastes so crisp and delicious. Whether you’re hosting a summer gathering, planning a holiday party, or simply want a cozy non alcoholic drink to enjoy at home, this ginger beer mocktail is one of those recipes you’ll want to make again and again.

I love discovering new drink recipes to make at home, especially ones that taste unique but are still incredibly simple to put together. This mocktail has such a refreshing mix of fizzy ginger beer, citrusy lemonade, and sweet pomegranate juice that all blend together perfectly. If you’re looking for a fun non alcoholic drink that feels fresh, flavorful, and a little different from the usual lemonade or soda, then this recipe is such a good one to try.

I first tasted a version of this drink while visiting Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen at Magic Kingdom, and I immediately knew I wanted to recreate it at home. The combination of bubbly ginger beer with tart lemonade and fruity pomegranate juice is so simple, yet it tastes like something from a fancy restaurant or resort. Ever since then, it has become one of my favorite easy mocktail recipes to make for family and friends.

Why You’ll Love This Ginger Beer Mocktail

  • Only three simple ingredients
  • Ready in just minutes
  • Perfect balance of sweet, tart, and fizzy
  • A festive non alcoholic drink for holidays and parties
  • Beautiful color from the pomegranate juice
  • Easy to customize with fresh fruit or herbs
Two glasses of pink iced lemonade garnished with lemon slices and small white flowers, styled like a ginger beer mocktail recipe, are placed on a light surface with lemon wedges, flowers, and a gold spoon nearby.

Ingredients

  • Ginger Beer – Adds a spicy, bubbly flavor that makes this drink so refreshing. I love Fever Tree’s Ginger Beer, it has a richness that adds so much to this mocktail.
  • Lemonade – Brings sweetness and bright citrus flavor. If you can find frozen lemonade concentrate add this is you want a stronger flavor.
  • Pomegranate Juice – Gives the mocktail its gorgeous color and fruity taste.
  • Ice – Keeps the drink extra cold and refreshing.

Step 1 – Coat the Edge of the Glass

Pour a little agave syrup or honey onto a small plate and add sugar to another plate. Turn the glass upside down and dip the edge of the glass into the agave or honey until coated, then dip it into the sugar so the edge is covered with a sweet sugary coating.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ginger beer?

Ginger beer is a bubbly soft drink made with ginger. Despite the name, most ginger beer sold in stores is non alcoholic.

Is this mocktail spicy?

Ginger beer has a little spicy ginger flavor, but the lemonade and pomegranate juice balance it beautifully.

Can I make this ahead of time?

You can mix the lemonade and pomegranate juice ahead of time, but wait to add the ginger beer until serving so the drink stays fizzy.

Is ginger beer alcoholic?

Most ginger beer sold in grocery stores is non alcoholic, despite the name. It’s a bubbly soft drink with a bold ginger flavor.

What does ginger beer taste like?

Ginger beer has a stronger and spicier ginger flavor than ginger ale. It’s fizzy, refreshing, and pairs perfectly with citrus and fruit juices.

Can I use ginger ale instead of ginger beer?

Yes, but the drink will taste a little sweeter and less bold. Ginger beer gives this mocktail a stronger ginger flavor and more depth.

What type of lemonade works best?

Fresh homemade lemonade tastes amazing, but store-bought lemonade works perfectly too. You can even use pink lemonade for a fun twist.

A can of Fever-Tree Premium Ginger Beer sits in the foreground, with a 24-pack box behind it. The green and yellow packaging highlights natural flavors and real ginger—perfect for your favorite ginger beer mocktail recipe.
A bottle of POM Wonderful 100% pomegranate juice stands next to a whole and a sectioned pomegranate with exposed seeds on a white background—perfect for your next ginger beer mocktail recipe.
A 64 fl oz plastic bottle of 365 Whole Foods Market Organic Lemonade with a white cap. The label features colorful fruit and leaf graphics and USDA Organic certification—perfect for a refreshing ginger beer mocktail recipe.

A countertop ice maker filled with ice cubes, a removable ice basket nearby, a plastic scoop pouring ice, and a glass of ginger beer mocktail recipe with mint and orange garnish beside the machine.
Four clear glass tumblers are arranged in a group. Three are empty, and one in front contains ice, sparkling water, and a lime wedge—perfect for serving your favorite ginger beer mocktail recipe.

Want to Turn This Mocktail Into a Cocktail?

This ginger beer drink is also delicious with a splash of alcohol if you want to make it into a cocktail for parties or gatherings. Since the flavors are citrusy, fruity, and bubbly, there are a few liquors that pair especially well with the lemonade and pomegranate juice.

  • Vodka – Keeps the drink light and crisp without changing the flavor too much.
  • Rum – Adds a slightly tropical and sweet flavor that tastes amazing with the ginger beer.
  • Bourbon – Gives the drink a warmer, richer flavor with a little depth from the ginger.
  • Gin – Adds a fresh botanical flavor that pairs nicely with the citrus notes.

I recommend starting with about 1 to 1½ ounces of alcohol per drink and adjusting to your taste. This recipe is super versatile, so it’s easy to make both a mocktail and cocktail version for guests.
