Christmas Rugs are such a fun and easy way to bring a little holiday cheer into your home! I’ve been browsing Walmart’s Christmas rug collection, and there are so many pretty options for the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and entryway. From traditional red and green patterns to softer neutral designs, it’s easy to find something that works with your Christmas decorations without spending a fortune.

One of my favorite things about decorating for Christmas is adding those little seasonal touches throughout the house. Of course, I love a beautiful Christmas tree and festive greenery, but sometimes it’s the smaller details that make a room feel extra special.

I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Christmas rugs from Walmart below. Just click on any rug you love to shop it and see more details!

A festive bath mat, a beautiful Christmas area rug in the living room, or a cheerful holiday doormat by the front door can make such a difference. These little seasonal touches are an easy way to bring Christmas into every corner of your home.

My Favorite Walmart Christmas Rugs

I love decorating with Christmas rugs because they’re an easy way to add holiday color and pattern without changing everything in a room.

Below, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Christmas rug styles for different areas of the home!

Christmas Bathroom Rugs

I think decorating the bathroom for Christmas is so much fun! It’s one of those rooms that can easily get overlooked during the holidays.

A cute Christmas bathroom rug is an easy place to start.

I love the idea of adding a soft holiday bath mat along with a few simple decorations, like a little Christmas tree on the counter, festive hand towels, or a small vase filled with greenery.

You don’t need much to make the room feel ready for Christmas.

Walmart has Christmas bathroom rugs in everything from traditional holiday colors to softer winter designs. I especially like the ones with little Christmas trees or delicate snowflakes.

When shopping for a bathroom rug, look for something absorbent with a nonslip backing that’s suitable for bathroom floors.

Christmas Area Rugs for the Living Room

The living room is usually where we spend the most time enjoying our Christmas decorations, so it’s a wonderful place to add a pretty seasonal rug.

Christmas area rugs can help bring together your tree, pillows, blankets, and other holiday decorations.

I especially love the idea of a neutral Christmas rug with a subtle pattern. It gives the room a festive touch without competing with the Christmas tree.

If you love traditional Christmas decorating, a red plaid or vintage-inspired rug would also be beautiful.

One thing to keep in mind is the size of the rug. Before ordering, measure your space and think about how the rug will fit with your furniture.

A larger area rug can make a room feel cozy and pulled together, while a smaller accent rug works nicely in front of a fireplace or beside a favorite chair.

Christmas Entryway Rugs and Doormats

The entryway is the first thing guests see when they come into your home, and a festive Christmas rug is such a sweet way to welcome them!

I love layering a pretty Christmas doormat over a larger plaid or neutral rug. It adds a little extra pattern and makes the entrance feel decorated.

You can also keep things simple with a single Christmas entryway rug and a beautiful wreath on the front door.

Look for cheerful designs with Christmas trees, holiday greetings, or traditional plaid patterns.

If you’re placing a rug outside, be sure to choose one that’s made for outdoor use.

How to Choose the Perfect Christmas Rug

With so many cute Christmas rugs available, it can be hard to decide which one to bring home!

I always like to think about the room, the colors I’m already using, and how much holiday pattern I want to add.

Here are a few things to consider when shopping.

Choose Colors That Match Your Christmas Decorations

You don’t have to decorate with traditional red and green to enjoy a Christmas rug.

I love softer holiday colors like cream, beige, pale blue, and natural green. They work beautifully with greenery, white Christmas trees, and simple holiday decorations.

If you prefer a more traditional Christmas look, plaid rugs and cheerful red patterns are always pretty.

The important thing is choosing a rug that complements the decorations you already have.

Look for Washable Christmas Rugs

Washable Christmas rugs are especially handy in kitchens, bathrooms, and entryways.

These areas tend to get a lot of use during the holidays, particularly when you’re cooking, entertaining, and welcoming guests.

I like rugs that are easy to clean and don’t require a lot of special care.

Just be sure to check the washing instructions before ordering. Some rugs are machine washable, while others need to be spot cleaned.

Pick the Right Size for Your Room

Rug sizes can be a little deceiving when you’re shopping online!

I always recommend measuring the area before choosing a rug.

A small accent rug might be perfect in front of the kitchen sink, while a longer runner works better in a hallway.

For living rooms, think about how the rug will fit around your sofa, chairs, and coffee table.

And don’t forget to check that doors can open easily over the rug.

Consider Rugs You Can Use All Winter

One of my favorite decorating tricks is choosing Christmas decorations that can stay out a little longer.

A rug with winter greenery, snowflakes, or a soft neutral pattern can look just as pretty in January as it does in December.

It’s a nice way to enjoy your seasonal decorations beyond Christmas without having to change everything right away.

Walmart Christmas Rugs FAQs

What Are the Best Christmas Bathroom Rugs?

I love Christmas bathroom rugs with simple holiday patterns like Christmas trees, plaid, and snowflakes. They’re an easy way to decorate a bathroom without adding too many accessories. Look for absorbent materials, a nonslip backing, and easy-care options that work well in a bathroom.

Does Walmart Sell Christmas Rugs?

Yes! Walmart offers a variety of Christmas rugs, including kitchen rugs, bathroom mats, area rugs, runners, and entryway rugs.

You’ll find everything from colorful traditional Christmas patterns to softer neutral and winter-inspired designs. The selection can change throughout the holiday season.

Can You Put a Christmas Rug in the Living Room?

Absolutely! A Christmas area rug can be a beautiful addition to your holiday living room.

Choose a pattern that complements your Christmas tree and decorations. Neutral rugs with subtle holiday designs are especially nice if you already have colorful ornaments and pillows.

How Do You Store Christmas Rugs After the Holidays?

Before storing your Christmas rugs, make sure they’re clean and completely dry.

I like the idea of rolling larger rugs rather than folding them to help prevent creases.

Smaller rugs and washable mats can be stored in a clean, dry container, depending on their care instructions.
