Have you ever wondered how to make paper rosettes? Or in some circles, they may call them paper pinwheels.
So, I’m not talking about the sweet flower rosettes that I made a couple of months ago. You know the cute fan like paper pinwheels that you hang on walls for parties.
I have bought my share of them, but I always thought that I should really make them. How hard can they be to make? Well after a bit of research I found out that they are super easy to make. And today, I’m sharing with you a little tutorial on how to make paper rosettes.
Aren’t these the cutest paper pinwheel or paper rosettes? They can make any wall come alive and feel so festive. My dining room is ready for my daughter’s Halloween party!
You can see that I used some fun paper to make my rosettes. Have fun and create some beautiful scrapbooking paper.

Here is a very cool video if you need to watch a video tutorial on how to make a paper rosette.
1. Print out Halloween printable.
2. Cut out printable.
This Halloween image is what you place in the middle of your paper rosette.
3. Cut your paper
Now gather your 2 sheets of scrapbooking paper. Cut out 8 – 6″x6″ squares.
4. Score your paper
Take your 8 sheets of scrapbooking paper and score it in increments of 1/2 inch. Next, fold your paper like an accordion on the scored lines.
5. Glue the paper
Take ends and glue them together with your glue gun or glue stick. I found it was helpful to flatten the ends so that it is easy to glue them together.
6. Glue all ends
You should now have one big circle of folded paper.
7. Collapse the folded paper into a circle
It can be a bit tricky and want to pop up on you.
8. Make a support piece for the back
I cut out a little circle of cardboard and glued it the back of the pinwheel for stability.
9. You’ll need to cut out another small circle
Trace and cut out another piece of cardstock for the back of the printable. Glue it with a glue stick to the printable. Then hot glue the Halloween printable in the middle of your rosette.
10. How to hang your paper rosette
You can attach a ribbon by poking a hole at the top of the paper pinwheel and thread ribbon through it.
So, make as many of these fun party favors and decorate your home for a special Halloween gathering. I seriously love how you aren’t limited to the store paper rosettes, with this tutorial you can make whatever cute scrapbooking paper you find and also have it match your Halloween decor! Well, I hope you found this post on how to make paper rosettes helpful?

These are so lovely and cute. I can’t imagine how quiet it is now that your son has gone off to college. I’m not looking forward to our oldest going, but we still have a few years…
