My friend Mindy served this dip at one of our neighborhood get-togethers, and I immediately fell in love with it. She was the gourmet cook in the neighborhood, and we all loved everything she made. This dip tastes gourmet, but in regards to the prep, it is so simple to make. If you are new to cooking, then you’ll love this recipe.
I know that we are baking and cooking a lot more around here. I have the darndest time keeping my young adult kiddos fed these days. I’m very thankful that my husband has a job during these tough times.
Today my friends and I are sharing our holiday appetizers. Their recipes look scrumptious, and I hope you enjoy checking them out.

What Should I Serve With This Dip?
- Pita Chips
- Ritz Crackers
- Rustic Crackers
- Saltines
- Thinly Sliced Baguette (toasted with butter)
- Assorted Sliced Vegetables
This artichoke dip recipe is on the heavy side, so you want a hearty cracker; otherwise, it will break. So, a potato chip probably wouldn’t fare well with this appetizer.
Here are some nice serving dishes for the artichoke dip!
Can I Add Spinach?
Absolutely. If you add a frozen spinach package, make sure to thaw it and squeeze out all the extra water. I would recommend chopped spinach so that it isn’t too stringy. Most versions out there are spinach artichoke dip recipes, so it seems natural to add the spinach.
A Few Other Things to Add
Chili flakes – I did add a few chili flakes to the baked dip. Not only does it make it zippy, but it is also pretty.
Olive Oil – Drizzling a bit of nice olive oil adds another layer of richness to the dip.
I have a funny story. A couple of years ago, when my kids were in elementary school, I got invited to many lunches for the moms. I was always asked to bring an appetizer. Well, I admit that I don’t have many appetizer recipes in my cookbook. Well, I do have a few:
Well, I finally have another appetizer recipe on the blog, hooray! This holiday season, we are baking and cooking a lot, so I’m certain this dish will be on our Thanksgiving and Christmas table.
