A Note About the Nester
In regards to the holidays, do you buy gifts for your children and hide them around the house? And then forget where they are? Oh my goodness, this happens to us every year. I’ll come across presents during the rest of the year. It is the mind that is the first thing to go…
I’m a little stressed. So, first.
I need to take a deep breath.
Ok, don’t mind me while I exhale. I hope I can get through this holiday season all in one piece.
Here is why I’m a bit stressed.
Can you hang out for a couple of hours?
No seriously, our printer is broken. So, when I tried to print out my banners, the red type came out purple. For a moment, I thought, maybe I could redesign my Christmas colors. Purple could work for my free holiday printable.
But, seriously a little panic crept into my mind.
I said ok everything is going to be fine. I quickly called my neighbor and asked to use her printer.
Well, her printer is the same brand as our defunct printer. So, I wasn’t terribly surprised when it did a similar thing and printed stripes in my design.
Hey, stripes could work, I’m easy.
Who needs to PRiNT something out on paper when the post is all about a printable.
I kept thinking, don’t panic. My preliminary photos are due tomorrow, but everything is fine.
Maybe I could just use last year’s Christmas posts? Ah, I’m sure folks won’t notice little ol’ me.
A couple of months ago I was drinking a lot of caffeinated coffee and this printing crisis would have stressed me out big time. I recently stop drinking all forms of caffeine and you could say; I’m now pretty mellow.
Back to my story, my next option is to ask another friend.
The second printing worked out perfectly, and my stress-free life returned.
So, you get to experience the great lengths I went to get ready for this post.
Whew, the holiday season is upon us, and I feel this time of year is overwhelming with all that we have to accomplish.
But, I’m happy I survived and got my Christmas tree up for this photo, and all is well.
Like in the movie, What about Bob, it’s all about baby steps.
My great printer adventure was all worthwhile since I hung out with my two wonderful friends and their sweet cats.
Plus, I love my job of writing and chatting with all of you. All the obstacles in the world wouldn’t stop this girl!
