Tour of a Beautiful Home in Michigan

dreamy home

i just recently joined instagram and i’ve been so busy making friends on this social media platform that my husband thinks i’ve lost it. ok, maybe i spend a little too much time on my phone.  :o)  anyway, i’m now connected to a wonderful community of people who share their homes ideas, their latest crafts, decor, and recipes, etc.  i have been so inspired by my instagram friends that as a result i’m investing more time into my blog.  this past week, i discovered an instagramer who has photos of her gorgeous home in michigan. her house is so beautiful and has been featured in a parade of homes. so i thought i would share a few of her photos with you since she has been so kind to let us peek into her home.  if you want to view more and you’re a fellow instagramer, you can find her with the title: JLF330

thanks again for stopping by and don’t forget to subscribe to the happy happy nester. over the weekend i’ll be posting my favorite blueberry buckle recipe.

this kitchen is to die for.  i love everything about it, the light fixtures are amazing as well as the cabinets.  the attention to detail is incredible and the cabinets have such a nice furniture style. above the stove is a faucet to fill cooking pots and pans.
I love this screened in porch. the Chevron rug goes so nicely with the green upholstery, it provides such a nice pop to the room. what is so amazing is that the colors are an exact match with the blues and greens inside the house!  what an incredibly positive room.  almost all the furnishing are from target, you’ve gotta love that place. the sofa and table are from their threshold line.
here is another view of the porch, it is such a cozy inviting room.  the rock fireplace coordinates well with the dark blue wall color. this room has an almost garden feel which is makes it very refreshing. we would love to add a porch onto our house and have it next to our pool, so of course this photo is my inspiration!  my sister-in-law has a room like this and it is such a nice casual comfy space.
i know this photo shows one of their rooms in progress, but i couldn’t pass up showing you the color and lamp fixture. the two go so beautifully together and the bronze stand outs nicely against the light blue walls.
what a wonderful sunny place to curl up to and read a book.  i love the pillows which hmm…. stenciling letters on pillow could make a nice craft project. but of course, my family would rearrange them to make other words… yes, i live with 3 jokers!
i would love to have a room devoted to movie watching!  this is an awesome space! this is located in their basement which during the day receives plenty of light from some big sliding glass doors.
the backside of the house is very impressive and has a swimming pool. don’t you just love all the balconies? can i have one?  oh yeah, i have a one story home. :o)  their house is located on a river that is connected to lake michigan. so, they have a 45 foot cabin cruiser that is docked at the house which makes it a 5 min boat ride to the lake. i’m sure that is a perfect set up during the summer months when boating on the lake is a big priority! i would like to give a big thanks to jlf330 for sharing her stunning home in michigan! don’t forget to follow both of us on instagram, we’ll see you there!
