A Personal Note from Janine
Oh, I have such fond memories of picking blueberries with my kids when we lived in Seattle! There were farms everywhere, and lucky for us, three of them were just a stone’s throw from our house.
I’d pack up my two little ones and spend about an hour in the fields, plucking those juicy blueberries right off the bushes. One of our favorite spots operated on the honor system—you’d weigh your berries and leave the money in a box. It was such a quaint setup.
I really miss those wonderful farms and the fresh raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries we’d get. We have a few farms around here, but it’s about a 45-minute drive to reach them. But hey, u-pick peaches season is almost here, and you can bet I’ll be out there every week!
I’m just glad we still have the chance to buy fresh, organic peaches—they taste absolutely amazing!
So, cheers to berry recipes and all the delicious memories they bring back!
Happy Saturday!

I love, love, LOVE berries!
My bedtime routine includes snacking on frozen blueberries while solving sudoku puzzles.
The blueberries cool me and the sudoku forces my mind to think of nothing other than the puzzle.
But, I’d love to wake up to any of your berry recipes for breakfast! That pavlova look perfect, J! xo
