A Personal Note from Janine

Happy Saturday!

I hope your March is off to a good start! I’ve been deep in spring mode here, working on some projects and soaking up the sunshine in the garden whenever I can.

I started playing around with some cute Easter chocolate eggs, but let’s just say… things didn’t go exactly as planned. 😅 So that one’s on pause for now, but I hope to pick it back up soon because the idea is just too fun to let go.

Let me know if you’re working on any fun projects right now—I’d love to hear what you’re up to!

In the meantime, I’ve got some fun crafts to share with you today! They’re all simple, creative, and perfect for a little spring refresh. I hope you can try one or two and enjoy a little creative time!

Cheers,

This Week’s Inspiration – My Favorite Summer Crafts

A glass jar, one of my favorite summer crafts, adorned with pressed pink daisies and sprigs of green leaves. It features a charming pink rim and rests on a light-colored surface, with blurred pink blooms softly in the background.

How to Make Candles with Dried Flowers

Making candles with dried flowers is a fun and creative way to bring a touch of nature into your home.

Whether you craft them as gifts or add a cozy ambiance to your space, dried flower candles have a delicate, handmade charm that stands out.

A wicker basket filled with a vibrant arrangement of pink and white flowers, including roses and lilies, sits on a reflective surface. Reminiscent of my favorite summer crafts, the soft, warm lighting enhances the elegant and fresh appearance of the floral display.

Basket Flower Arrangement

There’s something about a Basket Flower Arrangement that feels cozy and inviting. There’s just something about the combination of natural materials that gives it such a warm and homey feel.

You can use all sorts of flowers and greenery, like wildflowers, herbs, and even twigs or branches, to add some texture and interest.

A lit blue candle in a mason jar, one of my favorite summer crafts, is adorned with a gray gingham ribbon tied in a bow. Colorful flower stickers decorate the jar set on a light-colored surface with a blurred background.

Mason Jar Luminaries

The other day, I picked up a box of canning jars and turned them into charming Mason Jar Luminaries. I added a few drops of citronella, lavender, and cinnamon oils to make them double as insect repellents.

With a bit of water in the jar and a floating candle on top, they make the perfect outdoor summer candle!

A handcrafted lavender basket, one of my favorite summer crafts, is made of woven bamboo strips with purple ribbons and filled with lavender sprigs. It rests on a light blue fabric background, surrounded by scattered sprigs.

Lavender Wands Tutorial and Baskets

Let’s get crafty with this Lavender Wands Tutorial. In this easy DIY, I’ll walk you through the steps to make these cute, fragrant bundles, perfect for adding natural fragrance to your home. Grab your lavender, and let’s get started!

A circular hoop, showcasing my favorite summer crafts, hangs in front of a window with pressed purple, yellow, and violet flowers. The backdrop features soft, blurred lights that create a warm ambiance.

How to Make Suncatchers

In today’s post, I’ll show you How to Make Suncatchers. It’s such a fun craft for adults and kids.

All you need are a few materials, and in just a few minutes, you’ll have a stunning piece of art to hang on your wall or window!

Two round, woven placemats made of natural fibers are shown on a light background. Each placemat, one of my favorite summer crafts, features small, evenly spaced dark blue tassels around the edges.

Boho DIY Placemats

These Boho DIY Placemats with tassels are easy to make! I love that they match my Serena & Lily Catalonia bohemian style placemats quite nicely. This simple project adds just the right boho accent to a hyacinth round placemat.

I added a navy blue fringe, but you can add whatever color you like to match your table decor!

Three lit candles in glass jars with colorful flower designs are arranged on a white rectangular tray, embodying my favorite summer crafts. Pink and white flower petals are scattered around them on the surface, adding a delicate touch.

Oui Yogurt Jar Crafts

Want to upcycle your cute French yogurt jars? Here’s an Oui Yogurt Jar Crafts that turns a Yoplait French yogurt glass jar into a cute candle votive.

Of course, this project utilizes the Cricut vinyl for the labels!

A floral paper lantern, one of my favorite summer crafts, with pastel flower and leaf patterns hangs above a table adorned with blurred floral arrangements and refreshing beverages.

How to Decorate a Paper Lantern DIY

Do you want to learn how to Decorate a Paper Lantern for your home? This pretty lantern is so cute hanging outdoor or in a fun bedroom. Customize it with any paper that matches your home decor!

These unique lanterns are one of a kind and look like something you bought from a expensive boutique store!

More Summer Crafts From My Friends

A pink flower pot with white decorative patterns sits on a table beside a matching pink napkin and card, echoing my favorite summer crafts. In the background, a wicker basket cradles blurred flowers.

DIY Stenciled Terracotta Pot

That DIY stenciled terracotta pot project from Leslie is such a charming and creative way to add a personal touch to your home and garden decor!

Stenciling on terracotta pots is a simple yet effective way to elevate plain planters, making them look custom-designed with minimal effort.

A garland crafted from folded book pages and a white bead with twine, one of my favorite summer crafts, sits gracefully beside a wooden bowl brimming with round wooden beads. The garland elegantly drapes around the bowl on a light surface.

DIY Book Page Garland with Wood Tassels

This project is perfect for book lovers, DIY enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a simple yet eye-catching way to style a mantel, bookshelf, or even a party backdrop.

Plus, it’s an easy and affordable craft that can be customized with different book themes, colors, or even embellishments!

Latest Obsession – Crepe Paper Flowers

A flat lay image showcases DIY flower garland elements: pink paper flowers, a pink and white checkered cloth, striped pink ribbons, and a white dish. A candle with two wicks peeks in at the top alongside a partially unwrapped paper candy.
A cozy bedroom features white bedding with floral patterns. Above the bed, a white shelf showcases pink books and decor, with a garland of pink and gold flowers—just like my favorite spring crafts—hanging underneath. The wall is a soft white, enhancing the serene atmosphere.
Six light pink flowers with delicate, layered petals are artfully spread out on a white background, resembling easy flower paper crafts. The centers of the flowers are detailed with yellow and green stamen.

Crepe Paper Flowers

These flowers come ready to go—just unwrap them and you’re set! They look just like the ones I usually make by hand, but this time I saved a ton of time putting together the garland above. So easy and they look amazing! Here’s the link to the pink ones—and they also come in white if you want to mix it up!

This Week’s Tip – Yogurt Jars

A set of eight ribbed glass jars with white lids, perfect for showcasing my favorite summer crafts. Each jar can be filled with colorful desserts or left empty. Includes twine and four brown gift tags for labeling. Ideal for displaying fruit parfaits or jelly creations.

My Amazon Finds – Summer Crafts

Five lit white candles in clear glass holders are placed on a plain surface. The flames are small and steady, providing a warm glow. Reminiscent of my favorite summer crafts, the candles create a cozy ambiance with their scattered formation.
A white paper lantern with a spherical shape and ribbed texture. The lantern has a metal frame visible at the top, adding structure to one of my favorite summer crafts.
A stack of round, woven placemats crafted from natural fibers. Reminiscent of my favorite summer crafts, the tightly braided design features a spiral pattern, giving the placemats a rustic, earthy appearance.
A grid of 25 identical empty, clear glass jars with metal lids, arranged in five rows and five columns. Each jar has a round logo on the front. Perfect for my favorite summer crafts, these jars are uniformly aligned against a white background.
