Pillows, pillows and more…
Pillows are my life! I suppose the reason I love them is how they can quickly transform a room pretty inexpensively. Pillows are usually the first thing I add to a room, and quite often I don’t have to change up the rest of the decor. I have a great friend who is a Pillow Goddess and owns her company, Vintage Dayz. Carrie’s beautiful pillows are so charming and are a perfect blend of burlap and cute printed sayings. Her company offers a wide variety of designs, and she also provides custom orders. I was so fortunate to collaborate with her, and we designed a little holiday pillow that I love. It is timeless and so adorable, and I’m happy that we will enjoy it for many more holidays.
~ A Note About the Nester ~
I have so many pillows that my friends joke with me that I need another room to store all of them.
Without further adieu, I would like to share my interview with Carrie.
HHN: How do you design your products? Computer, freehand?
Vintage Dayz: I design my products on the computer mostly. I’d like to get into freehand and have been working on my calligraphy. I started sewing when I was in high school…. A very long time ago lol… I always altered my jeans and made blankets for gifts.
HHN: When did you start sewing?
Vintage Dayz: I started sewing when I was in high school…. A very long time ago lol… I always altered my jeans and made blankets for gifts.
HHN: What prompted you to start your own business?
Vintage Dayz: I started my own business because I wanted to be available at all times when my kids need to be places. My eldest daughter trains for gymnastics an hour away 5 days a week so I need to be able to create an income where I can work around my hectic family schedule. J
HHN: What’s your favorite color?
Vintage Dayz: My favorite color changes with my mood hahahaha….. Currently my favorite color is that very soft pink that pairs well with whites and natural colors….. I’m wanting to incorporate that into my master bedroom.
HHN: Do you have a favorite pillow?
Vintage Dayz: Gosh my favorite pillow…… that’s a tough one! It seems to forever change. Right this moment I’m loving the mom and grandma pillows. It makes my heart so happy to get feedback and stories from people whom have purchased. I love hearing about the kids nicknames for their grandparents.
HHN: How many hours do you end up working during the week?
Vintage Dayz: I feel like I work all the time! I wake up and catch up with social media and then start plugging away at my list. Some days I work all morning/afternoon and some days it’s afternoon into evenings. This business also allows me to work while my daughter is training! I love that.
HHN: Do you like working in the morning or evening hours?I absolutely favor working in the mornings! I love waking up and getting a huge start on the day! I am extremely type A, so it’s healthy for me to start the day off super motivated and checking things off my list.

HHN: What is your favorite thing to do when you aren’t working?
Vintage Dayz: My favorite thing to do when I am not working is one hundred percent family! My perfect time off would be packing up the girls, fur babies, the hubs and head to the beach. That would describe my BEST DAY EVER!
