painting old clay pots
i had a few old terra cotta pots sitting around and i also found a few at a thrift shop. i’m sure you have some hanging around your yard or garage!  if you do, this is a fun project and you can make some cute containers for whatever needs to be organized.  i have a few craft supplies that have now found a home in these cute containers.  i hope this has inspired you to upcycle your old pots!  thanks so much for visiting the happy happy nester!
so, all you have to do is clean up the pots with a little water and paper towels.  my pots didn’t have any moss or algae, so not sure the paint would adhere to these surfaces.  i used these ceramic paints to paint the inside and outside of the pots.  i think i had to paint two coats on the pots. i have posted the link below and this will get you to the exact brand that i used, but you’ll have fun choosing your own colors. here is a link on amazon:  ceramic paint
to seal the paint, i also sprayed a couple of coats of this…
here is the link:  krylon spray paint
once the pot was dry, just hot glue the ribbon of your choice on the pot. the hot glue kind of shows ( a lump) through the ribbon, so place your glue in certain spots that won’t show.
i just made a bow by gluing it together with my trusty hot glue gun.
i added a big bow and then added the flower bow on top…
such fun pots!
