a lot of white sofas to choose from!
call me crazy, but i’m thinking of changing out my dark green sofa with a white one! there appears to be a great debate among women on whether to own a white sofa. i’m scared to take the plunge, but the more i read about this subject, the more i think that a white slipcover sofa would be somewhat easier since you can wash and bleach it. but i’ve never owned a white sofa, so i’m not sure what i’m getting myself into. despite all the craziness of cleaning a white couch, i really want to try it. the ikea ektorp is so reasonable, i think i wouldn’t worry about it as much as an expensive one. i have a little more time to research my choice and in the mean time i hope i don’t become more confused.
~ a funny note about the nester ~
when i’m out with friends for the evenings, my kids and husband
have picnic dinners in the living room while watching a movie.
this was their little secret for many years!
lovely! this gorgeous living room is from the wonderful blog: view along the way
sectional? this is from: city farmhouse. she has a great blog post about living and caring for a white sofa. oh gosh, do i buy a sectional? another option to consider!
awesome blog! this gorgeous sofa ensemble is from: pretty petals she not only has a post on her ikea sofa experience but also some great alternatives, look at the next post.
great option. this is amazing, pretty petals ordered this slip cover from comfort works who makes slipcovers for ikea furniture. this gorgeous velvet slipcover cost her $350 and $10 for shipping. so this maybe just the information i need to tip the scale towards ikea!
our look. here is my current living room that needs a overhaul. we moved in about 5 years ago and did a remodel of 5 rooms and this one got the fireplace, windows, floor, and bookshelf worked revamped, but i never dealt with the decor or furniture. so this winter i hope to tackle this room with a new sofa, a rug, a new coffee table, drapes and lamps. i have a lot of work to do and so, i hope you can join me and watch the transformation! thanks so much for visiting and share or comment, i would love to hear from you.
cheers,
janine

Your family is adorable. I love the picnic dinners your hubby & babies have when you're out w the girls!
As for the sofa, my pick is the first pic. I think it's the whole look I like. The globe behind the couch, the beautiful figure of the couch, the kilim on the floor. Ikea has a very nice one called Kattrup that's a great price! I have one in our living room. xoxo

Hi Coco,
Gosh, somehow I didn't get the notice that you commented! I'm so sorry. So, you like the Pottery Barn couch? We probably will buy a sofa pretty soon, just have to sell some stuff to have the money for it. Do you like your Ikea couch? I haven't heard of the Kattrup, is it a slipcover? I'm glad you came over to visit.
Thanks my dear friend!!!
