1. Add Fresh Summer Flowers

I’m always adding fresh flowers to our home and summertime since I pick them straight from my flower garden. I love these blue and purple hydrangeas in my Summer Home Tour from last year. A little note, I have a ton of white vases for my flowers and this one in the photo is actually a white ceramic water pitcher. I love to use containers that aren’t necessarily designed as a vase.

2. Add just a few splashes of color

So, our living room is basically white and so I can add whatever color I want with the different seasons. We bought our white slipcover Crate and Barrel sofa a couple of years ago, and I knew that decorating with it was going to be a breeze. I can just add a few splashes of color to achieve some pretty accents. It was easy squeezy to create my simple summer home tour.
