Jazz up a fun gathering of friends and family with these Dinner Place Cards with Mini Wreaths. Included in this tutorial is a simple printable that attaches to the pretty seam binding ribbon.
I will also share how to make this cute gold leaf wreath napkin holder. I love the rosemary mini wreaths that everyone is making, but I wanted to design something a bit different. So, I took real leaves from my yard and covered them with gold leaf paint. I promise that this project isn’t too difficult.
Speaking of projects, you know that I always love to craft and make things. It appears that my blogging friends do too. Today, I’m joined by ten other bloggers and their creative Thanksgiving place cards.

How to Make the Gold Mini Wreaths
Supplies
Real Small Leaves (max length 1-inch x 1/2 inch width)
Small Brush or Qtip
Now that you have your dinner place cards made let’s start making the cute mini wreaths.
Instructions on Mini Wreaths
1. Pick small leaves in your yard. I picked my leaves from my Nandina bush, and they were the right size for this project. You want small and slim leaves. The size of my leaves are about 1 1/4″ x 1/2″
2. Place leaves on a piece of cardboard.
3. Take a small paintbrush or Qtip and paint the top side of your leaves. Let dry to touch. It only takes a few minutes.
4. Make a 1 3/4 inch circle with your wire. Wrap the ends in and out of the circle to secure the wreath.
5. Glue gold leaves one at a time on the wreath structure. Overlap the leaves as you go. Complete the circle with leaves.
6. Place your ribbon on the left side of the wreath. Then take both ends and wrap them around the napkin’s backside and bring them up to the right side of the wreath. Then take the top ribbon and thread it through the hole in the cardstock paper.
7. Bring ribbon ends together and tie a bow or knot on top of the card.
A little note, I rolled up my napkin so that it was 2 1/2 inches in diameter. I wanted the wreath to fill that space from edge to edge. You can make your napkin and wreath any size you want.
I enjoyed creating this fun project. I hope you can put this dinner place cards tutorial to use! I will publish a more thorough post of my Thanksgiving table in a bit. In the meantime, here are a few of my past Fall and Thanksgiving tablescapes:
