Creating a warm, festive feel is easy with Brown and Gold Christmas Tree Decorations that add a touch of elegance and coziness to your holiday decor! These earthy brown tones mixed with shimmering gold create a naturally chic, sophisticated look that feels classic and unique.
Decorate your tree with gold ornaments, add brown ribbon, or even layer in gold-tipped pine cones—these decorations make your Christmas tree feel rich and inviting. Brown and gold decorations can easily blend with other holiday colors, making your tree stand out beautifully in any room!
I usually go all out with colorful holiday decorations, but this year, I wanted to switch things up and try a more natural tone. Brown and brown velvet seem to be really having a moment this season, and they’re giving my holiday decor such a cozy, understated vibe.
So, here we go—brown and gold with a sprinkle of light green across our trees. They look so dainty and are just the style I was aiming for! I even tried placing my frosted faux snow tree in the living room, but it didn’t quite fit the look this year. Instead, I’m sticking with a simpler, more earthy vibe, and it’s honestly refreshing!
If you happen to have some white, silver and gold ornaments then all you have to add to the mix is some brown shiny ornaments and velvet bows!
How I Built My Christmas Tree Decor
Christmas Tree
I started with my faux snow tree, thinking it would set the right tone, but as soon as it was up, I realized it wasn’t the look I wanted this year. Back to storage, it went! Instead, I decided on my Balsam Hill Fir trees, which couldn’t have been a better fit. I was aiming for something simple and natural this season—trees that feel petite and delicate, not too heavy or over-the-top.
These two trees were perfect for holding my little velvet brown bows, bringing just the right touch of cozy elegance to my holiday decor. I’m excited to share how I styled them this year and achieved this new look for our Christmas setup!

Ornaments
White Ornaments
I always keep a stash of plain white ornaments on hand. They make perfect fillers and work with every color under the sun. So, if you’re like me and switch up your tree colors each year, these white ornaments are a lifesaver!
Silver
Silver glass ornaments are a lot like white ones—they go with nearly any color scheme. But with their reflective quality, they add a beautiful sparkle to the tree, bringing just the right amount of shine. They’re the perfect complement to almost any color palette!
Gold
Gold ornaments are a fantastic addition to a tree decorated in silver, white, green, and brown because they add a layer of warmth and richness that balances the cooler, neutral tones. While silver and white bring brightness and a frosty, elegant feel, gold adds warmth, creating a welcoming glow that enhances the overall coziness.
Green
Antiquey green ornaments add a vintage charm and timeless feel to a tree decorated with silver, white, brown, and gold. This muted green color brings a soft, earthy tone that complements the natural and cozy elements of brown and gold, while balancing the brightness of silver and white. The result is a tree with a nostalgic, elegant touch that feels both warm and refreshingly classic.
Brown
Brown ornaments add a warm, earthy touch to a tree decorated with silver, white, green, and gold. They bring in a natural feel that helps balance out the brighter silver and white, making everything feel a little cozier. With brown in the mix, the tree has the perfect blend of style and warmth, creating a relaxed, inviting look that’s just right for the holidays!

Icicles
Icicle ornaments are a beautiful addition to any tree, especially with twinkle lights. Their elongated shape catches the light, adding a magical shimmer and frosty elegance to the branches. They bring texture and movement, balancing the rounder ornaments and giving the tree a festive, wintery charm.
Icicle ornaments are like the old-fashioned tinsel from long ago but with a more sophisticated, modern touch. They give that same glistening effect without the fuss, adding a refined sparkle that elevates the whole tree.
Old World Charm
Brown Velvet Bows
Brown velvet bows hanging on the ends of tree branches bring such a charming, old-fashioned feel to the tree. The soft velvet texture and rich brown color add warmth and a vintage touch that feels timeless. Placing them on the branch tips creates a delicate look, almost like little gifts hanging from each branch, adding a touch of charm without overpowering the other decorations. These bows blend beautifully with natural tones and give the tree a cozy, nostalgic style that feels both classic and unique.

We welcomed our puppy Maisy into the family this past April, and we’re so excited to celebrate her first Christmas with us! She’s a sweet little Shih Tzu, full of personality and love, and Michael and I feel so grateful to have her around. Her one little holiday habit? Stealing the bows off my wrapped packages! I’ll have to snap a photo of her in action—it’s her little holiday mischief!
