Check out these Easy Spring Desserts! Featuring a selection of recipes, including some delightful lemon treats. Springtime always calls for deliciously sweet lemon desserts. These recipes are simple to whip up and bursting with flavor, proving that easy doesn’t mean compromising on taste!

I’m all about light desserts, especially those packed with fruit this time of year. Let’s take a look at these fantastic and delicious dessert recipes!

Saturday Chitchat with Janine – Volume 162

I’m constantly grappling with simplifying my projects, always aiming to streamline them.

Here’s a quote I stumbled upon that hits home:

“Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.” – Coco Chanel

So today, I’m excited to share some simple and easy spring desserts that will satisfy your sweet tooth and make your weekend a bit brighter!

A Personal Note from Janine

I hope you’re enjoying spring!

Isn’t this time of year just lovely? The days are getting longer and warmer, trees are budding and blooming, and we’re starting to spend more time outdoors!

Between our hikes, I’ve been having a blast in the kitchen with some fun baking. Now that we’re finally out of our rainy winter weather, I look forward to making some macarons. I’m unsure if humidity affects them, but I’m not taking any chances!

But don’t worry, I’m not sharing the complicated macaron recipe with you today.

We’re all about easy desserts here.

So grab a warm drink, find a comfy chair, and let’s hang out!

This Week’s Inspiration – Easy Spring Desserts

Old Fashioned Lemon Squares Recipe

Summertime is the perfect season to embrace the delightful Old Fashioned Lemon Squares.

The combination of tangy lemon filling and a buttery shortbread crust creates a mouthwatering dessert everyone enjoys!

Peach Crisp with Fresh Peaches

This Peach Crisp with Fresh Peaches perfectly blends soft peaches and a crunchy topping. It’s an easy summer dessert to make and a relatively healthy recipe.

Make it decadent by adding whipped cream or a dollop of vanilla ice cream!

Grilled Peaches Recipe

I’m amazed at how easy this grilled peach recipe is to make. I add a sprinkle of brown sugar and a pat of butter and bake it on our BBQ. It’s so quick and easy to make. You’ll like this simple dessert if you want delicious fresh fruit this summer and don’t want too many calories.

Blueberry Hand Pies Recipe

Blueberry Hand Pies are the ultimate summer treat, no doubt about it! They’re an easy dessert with juicy, plump blueberries nestled in a flaky, buttery pie crust. They come in adorable single servings that are just made for grab-and-go snacking.

MINI LEMON FLOWER TARTS

You’ve probably seen these Mini Lemon Flower Tarts all over social media. I jazz them up by adding colorful twists to my homemade cookie dough. Those springtime colors give these treats an extra pop! They’re not just adorable—they’re delicious, all thanks to that sweet, tangy lemon curd filling paired with the sugar cookie. Plus, they’re super easy to make!

SUGAR COOKIE IN A MUG

A sugar cookie in a mug is a perfect single-serving dessert of a sugar cookie made in a cup and cooked in the microwave. It’s a soft sugar cookie recipe that is light, fluffy, and doesn’t contain egg yolk or brown sugar. It’s a quick and easy way to make a sweet treat for one person.

These mug sugar cookies are a blank canvas in which you can customize your cookies to your taste. Add delicious candies, chocolate, nuts, and more to your cookie. I promise this is an easy recipe to make.

Air Fryer Churros (Easy)

Make these easy, healthy, and homemade Air-Fried Churros. First, make the churros in the air fryer, then roll them in a cinnamon sugar topping.

These are delicious alternatives to the traditional deep-fried churros recipe!

Berry Cobbler Recipe

Use your favorite berry mixture for this easy summer dessert. This Mixed Berry Cobbler Recipe has a crisp, buttery topping with juicy, sweet berries.

It’s best to serve it up with a yummy scoop of vanilla ice cream, and this dessert is an instant favorite.

Boutique of the Week – Springtime Throw Pillows

Springtime Throw Pillows

Adding Springtime Throw Pillows is one of the simplest yet most effective ways to bring the spirit of spring into your home. Throw pillows may seem like minor details in the grand scheme of interior design, but their impact is anything but insignificant.

My Favorite Things – Easy Spring Desserts From My Friends!

Rustic Easy Peach Tart Using Puff Pastry

I can’t resist a dessert with puff pastry and fruits. This amazing recipe comes from my friend Sarah over at Twelve on Main.

Rose Caramel Apple Tartlets

These charming caramel apple tartlets are an irresistible treat for any dessert enthusiast. They’re not only delicious but also a blast to create!

Easy Cinnamon Rolls from Scratch

These simple homemade cinnamon rolls are ideal for yeast novices since they only need one rise. Each roll is wonderfully soft with a delectable cinnamon swirl! They freeze wonderfully, making them a fantastic make-ahead option, particularly for holidays or special breakfast occasions. Pick from various easy icing flavors to drizzle over the warm, gooey rolls.

This Week’s Tip – Buttermilk Substitute

Easy Buttermilk SuI justtute

Just whipped up a Gluten-Free Lemon Drizzle Cake and realized I was out of buttermilk. So, I improvised by mixing milk with vinegar, and it turned out fantastic! The cake tasted and baked even better. I ended up tweaking the recipe a bit!

Here’s the DIY buttermilk recipe: combine 1/2 cup of milk with 1 1/2 teaspoons of white vinegar, let it sit for a few minutes to thicken, and you’re good to go!

That’s all there is to it, and there’s no need for an extra trip to the grocery store!

Latest Obsession – Easy Cake Hack!

Beautiful Cake Flowers

I picked up these edible cake flowers for cake decoration. They’re a quick way to elevate a store-bought cake to gourmet bakery status. If you prefer homemade, whip up your favorite cakes and top them off with these gorgeous flowers.

No cake decorating skills are required to make a cake look beautiful and gourmet!

We will be welcoming an adorable puppy into our home this weekend! It looks like our days will be filled with puppy cuddles and caretaking. Fortunately, we both work from home and can share the responsibilities. If all goes smoothly, our house will soon be bustling with the pitter-patter of little paws.

It’s been around 14 years since we have had a dog!

Keep your fingers crossed for us, and have a fantastic weekend!

Cheers,
