the family room overhaul continues!
i wish i could say that our family room project is complete, but i’m still tweaking all my decor. i guess if i was done with all my decorating, then i would have very little to blog about. so here is my latest update! the wall closest to my little office area was in desperate need of some decor. i hung my white board project (here is the link to my blog post: white board) up as well as my chevron initial, j. but some blank areas still existed and i just couldn’t find the perfect frame to balance it all out. i’m afraid i’m a gal who gets on a mission and i search high and lo for the right object for my project. so, after looking at every frame at homegoods, pottery barn, world market, and many more stores, i realized that i have a few frames that with a little spray paint they would work nicely on my wall until i found exactly what i was looking for. so, i decided to spray paint them a color that matched my existing decor and now i’m pretty happy with the results. here is a peek at what i have so far but, i want to thank you so much for stopping by!
my posts this week will include:
wednesday ~ my husband’s antique bottle collection
friday ~ my latest inspirations
saturday ~ my triumphant battle with our neighborhood deer pruning my rose bushes
the frame to the right is what i originally had and the one to the left is the one that i initially painted and didn’t like on the wall. it was way too busy for the space. so, i went with a solid color and it matched the color in the letter, j.
this is a photo of my friend elisabeth’s dog, gibbs. they have moved back to sweden and i’ll miss the two of them!
ah… what a fun wall i have. now i have that project complete, i’m off to yet another space in the family room! our fireplace is painted a beige color that looks drab, so i plan to paint in white to match the existing molding in the room. keep watching for my weekly updates!
