nesting…
lately, i’ve been nesting around the house. i would normally be decorating our front porch with halloween decor, but my husband injured his leg and he isn’t able to climb the ladder and retrieve my halloween decorations down from the rafters in our garage. i probably could do it myself, but i got such a late start this fall that i think i’ll just jump forward to thanksgiving. i know…my husband jokingly says that is not a good nester! well, instead i’ve busy with decorating the inside of my house. i seem to have so many projects that sometimes, i get overwhelmed and they sit for days. also, it takes me while to figure out how i want to change a decor and then it seems to take forever to find the right piece for the space. i’ve been working on my master bedroom for a while, i got the shelves all decorated and revamped my bed linen, changed out the paint color and put new drapes in. i still have 2 spots in the bedroom that still need my attention. this week, i finally made the plunge and figured out a corner of the room. i have always wanted a full size floor mirror, it gets tiring walking down to my son’s room to view my wardrobe ensemble! so, i spied a white mirror at ikea the other day and after measuring the space, i bought it yesterday. i’m really happy with the look and the beautiful quality. i always thought that the mirror had to be placed flat on a wall, but once i decided that it could be at a angle….i knew that is what a i needed to put in this problematic corner! the mirror adds a nice architectural splash as well as opens up the room. thanks for stopping by and a have a wonderful day!
i’m sure you have a spot like this in your room. note the small mirror, i was hoping to build my own floor mirror with molding, but of course the project never happened!
here is the new space! i’ve got to hang some pictures on the wall up above the mirror, but for now i’m quite please with the space.
here is a close up of the mirror
