Here are delicious Thanksgiving Treats to sweeten your holiday season and fill your home with warmth, joy, and the smell of baked desserts. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and not just for the turkey and mashed potatoes — it’s all about the desserts for me! When it comes to Thanksgiving treats, I find so much joy in baking up something sweet for family and friends to enjoy.

A collage of four autumn Thanksgiving treats: cupcakes with frosting, an almond-topped bar, a pumpkin pie with leaf-shaped crust, and two layered dessert bars on a cake stand, all surrounded by small pumpkins and festive decor.

My Thanksgiving table is never complete without a selection of delicious treats to share — and I’ve gathered quite the collection over the years on my blog. I might not be a professional baker from The Great British Baking Show, but that doesn’t stop me from getting creative in the kitchen and making a little mess along the way. Baking is my favorite way to slow down, embrace the season, and pour love into every dessert I make.

Saturday Chitchat with Janine – Volume 233

Baking Isn’t About Perfection

Let’s be honest — not every dessert I make turns out picture-perfect, and that’s totally okay!

Baking, to me, is all about the process.

It’s about the laughter, the mess, and the sweet surprises along the way.

I’ve had cookies spread a little too much, pies bubble over, and cakes that needed an extra dusting of sugar to hide the imperfections — but those moments are what make baking so fun.

Enjoy this holiday blog post!

A Personal Note from Janine

This Thanksgiving is going to be extra special! We’re heading to Vermont to visit my mother-in-law, and for the first time in years, all her children, grandchildren, and even great-grandkids will be together under one roof. It’s been such a long time since we’ve celebrated Thanksgiving with her, and I know it’s going to be so heartwarming to reconnect and make new memories.

I’ll admit, it makes me a little sad that my father-in-law won’t be there with us this year — he always brought such warmth and laughter to the holidays. But I know he’ll be there in spirit, and we’re all so grateful to still have Mom with us to celebrate.

Everyone’s making a dish to share, and I’m hoping to contribute a special dessert (you know me — I can’t resist baking something sweet!). I’ll definitely snap a few photos while I’m there and share them in an upcoming Saturday Chitchat.

What about you — do you have any Thanksgiving plans or traditions you’re looking forward to this year? I’d love to hear from you!

Cheers,
