This summer is a very exciting one for our family, we have two weddings this year. It has been a while since our last big celebration, so we are so delighted to have an excuse to get together with family and friends. And who doesn’t like a happy occasion. We will be traveling to Seattle for one wedding and then down south to Southern California for the second one. So, now I’m trying to think of some unusual wedding gifts for my nieces. I thought it would nice to pick out some thoughtful and memorable wedding gifts. So, since I’ve done some shopping and research on this, I thought I would share my gift ideas with you!
~ A Note About the Nester ~
On our wedding day, my father pulled aside my husband and tried to give him some wise words of advice on how to handle his daughter. He said, “You’ve got to be firm with her!” Then after contemplating his advice he realized and blurted out with laughter, “Lord knows I never was!”
I adore this engraved bowl from Pottery Barn. Not only would it make a wonderful wedding present but also a beautiful anniversary present too. It feels so classical and like a family heirloom.
This cute Mr & Mrs pillow is perfect when you are newly married. I remember seeing our name as a married couple was such a fun novelty. Suddenly you feel like you advanced to adulthood and the married community.
I wish I had made us a wedding box.. This incredible keepsake has the printed name on the front that I think makes it extra special. Don’t you think the engraved name gives it that personal touch?
I love this personalized doormat for a wedding gift! It definitely is one of a kind.
My husband and I both enjoy cooking; we would have loved this for a wedding gift. I do remember cooking a meal with him that took the whole day to make! Thank goodness it turned out to be worth our effort and was a delicious dinner.
I can’t say enough about GlassyBaby hand blown candle votives. I own a few, and they are so beautiful and unique. There are so many colors that you’ll have a difficult time choosing one. I recently visited their website, and they now offer engraving. I think I’m going to buy a few for one of the couples, I just have to find out what color scheme would work best for their home and decor.
The Painted Fox carries so many great home decor treasures. Their style is beautiful and leans a little on the rustic side. I have a few pieces in our home, and they are my favorites. I don’t think you can go wrong with items from this store.

We are celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary this year and I can’t help think of our big wedding day and all the wonderful memories that went along with it. The great thing is that still know who gave us our various wedding presents. So, putting some thought into your present is an awesome thing, and I’m sure your recipients will remember it for years to come. Do you have some gifts that are from a special friend? Share a comment, we would love to hear from you.
Cheers,
