A big hello to all my new readers and return followers. My friends and I are hosting these table ideas for Christmas decorating. So, let’s get inspired and start reading and decorating our tables!
This year, I reached into my bucket of vintage ornaments and had a blast creating this fun feminine holiday table. I love that I pretty much found all the items among my Christmas decor and so I didn’t need to go out shopping for anything new.
6 Table Ideas for Christmas Decorating
Tablecloth
So, I found this old fabric at the Ventura Sunday Flea Market. I’ll let you in on a little secret, this tablecloth is actually some old drapes that were like $5 each! I bought them this summer with my friend Leslie from My 100 Year Old Home and I’ve been antsy to use them in my decorating. I guess my advice to you, is to use whatever you have for a tablecloth.
I know you can’t buy this exact vintage fabric, but this Esty shop has the best selection of old material. I feel like I’m going to order some soon!
Flowers
I was going to take a trip to the San Francisco Flower Market but decided that I want something that would survive beyond three days. Also, Pointsettia is a flower that everyone can purchase. I originally bought a few pink poinsettias, but I really loved how the white stood out among the sea of pink decor.
Decor
Add anything that is white. I found these cute houses at Target for like $3 and I love them. Ok, I did purchase something this year. I also bought the battery operated white round lights from Ikea. There is something so fun about the round balls, they remind me of little polka dots accenting my table.

Bucket of Vintage Ornaments
Yes, I have this bucket as well as a second one! I think I’m a bit over the top obsessed with these wonderful imperfect ornaments. I enjoy adding them to my decor for a bit of sparkle and color. Here is a resource for some vintage ornaments.
Let’s continue on with my ideas for Christmas decorating.
Vintage Plates
I unearthed my old vintage plates as well as the retro hobnail glasses I had from World Market. The white felt poinsettias are from Hobby Lobby and one of these days I would like to make my own version.
Add Candle Votives
I always pull out my Glassybaby votives as well as my mercury glass ones. Go neutral when choosing out your candles so that you can have fun with your tablecloth and ornaments.
