My Favorite Summer Drinks are the perfect blend of fruity, refreshing, and sweet flavors that bring summer to every sip! When the heat kicks in and the sunshine sticks around, there’s nothing quite like sipping on a cool, refreshing beverage. Whether you’re looking for summer drinks, drinks for summer barbecues, or just need some go-to summer beverages to cool you down, I’ve got you covered.

A collage of my favorite summer drinks: peach sangria with fruit slices, a creamy drink with an umbrella and daisy decoration, a frothy white smoothie with a straw, and a pink strawberry drink garnished with small flowers.

And of course, the best part is sharing these fun drinks with friends and family on warm afternoons or at sunset get-togethers.

The best thing about summer beverages is that there’s a recipe for every mood.

Hosting a party? There’s a drink for that. Lounging on the porch with a good book?

There’s one for that, too. I love that drink recipes can be so versatile—whether you’re in the mood for something light and citrusy or bold and tropical, there’s always something to try.

Sweet, Fruity, and Always Refreshing

I always lean toward sweet and fruity drinks when creating summertime beverages.

There’s something about those bold, refreshing flavors that instantly lifts your mood.

Plus, they look just as good as they taste—bright colors, fresh garnishes, and fun drinkware make the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Fun to Make, Even Better to Share

One of my favorite aspects of creating summer drink recipes is that they bring people together.

It’s the little moments like that that make summer feel so memorable—and I’m always looking for new ways to create those moments.

Easy Recipes for Every Skill Level

Don’t worry if you’re not a master mixologist. The summer drinks I share are designed to be simple, approachable, and delicious.

Whether you’re making something for the first time or whipping up a go-to favorite, each recipe on the blog is easy to follow and super fun to customize.

You can tweak the flavors, add your twist, or stick with the classics—there’s no wrong way to enjoy a summertime drink.

A Personal Note from Janine

A woman with long brown hair, wearing a light-colored dress, sits smiling on a round white seat on a sunny outdoor deck near water, dreaming about my favorite summer drinks, with a white chair and greenery in the background.
A tall, white planter with green foliage and pink flowers sits on a wooden deck near a sandy beach and calm water—perfect inspiration for flower garden decor ideas and more, surrounded by trees and sunshine in the background.

Happy Saturday!

It’s hard to believe that just a year ago we packed up our lives, sold the home we had loved for 15 years, and moved across the country to Florida. Between settling into our new lake house, learning about Florida weather, and slowly making this place feel like home, it’s been quite the adventure.

Now that summer has officially arrived, the heat and humidity have definitely made themselves known! I’ve been spending time in my tiny kitchen creating new recipes, and lately I’ve been especially inspired by refreshing drinks. My newest recipe was inspired by a drink I ordered while visiting the Magic Kingdom. It has the perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors and tastes like something you’d order at a fancy restaurant, yet it’s surprisingly easy to make at home.

Since summer and cold drinks go hand in hand, I thought it would be fun to round up some of my favorite drink recipes in one place. Whether you’re hosting friends, relaxing on the patio, or simply looking for something refreshing to sip on during these warm days, I hope you’ll find a new favorite.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Grab a cool drink, get comfortable, and come hang out with me for a few minutes. I’m so glad you’re here!

Cheers,

This Week’s Inspiration – My Favorite Summer Drinks

A pink ginger beer mocktail recipe with ice and a lemon slice in a sugar-rimmed glass, surrounded by lemon wedges, a striped napkin, and vases of pink and yellow flowers on a light surface.

Ginger Beer Mocktail Recipe

Ginger beer mocktail recipe drinks are such a fun and refreshing treat, and I love how easy they are to make at home. With bubbly ginger beer, fresh citrus, and a few simple ingredients, this easy mocktail recipe comes together in just minutes and tastes so crisp and delicious. Whether you’re hosting a summer gathering, planning a holiday party, or simply want a cozy non alcoholic drink to enjoy at home, this ginger beer mocktail is one of those recipes you’ll want to make again and again.

A glass filled with a red strawberry drink, ice, and mint, garnished with strawberry pieces. This refreshing treat is one of my favorite summer drinks, perfect alongside fresh strawberries and blooms blurred in the background.

Strawberry Basil Cocktail Recipe

A Strawberry Basil Cocktail Recipe is the perfect summer drink, offering a delightful balance of sweet, herbaceous, and citrusy flavors.

This vibrant cocktail, made with gin or vodka, is a refreshing choice for warm evenings, backyard parties, or special celebrations.

Serve this strawberry basil drink over ice for a stunning and delicious addition to any summer gathering.

A creamy, pale yellow drink—one of my favorite summer drinks—with a pink striped straw is served in a curvy glass, surrounded by pink checkered napkins and blurred flowers in the background.

Frozen Lemonade Recipe

This Frozen Lemonade Recipe is refreshingly simple and perfect for hot summer days.

With just three ingredients, it’s easy to make and deliciously unique, thanks to the addition of sweetened condensed milk.

Blend it in your Vitamix and enjoy!

A blue cocktail in a glass with a sugared rim, garnished with lime and ice cubes, sits on a white surface with pastel decorations, a pink drink umbrella, and a cut lime—one of my favorite summer drinks for any sunny day.

Mermaid Water Drink

This fun and festive Mermaid Water Drink has coconut and pineapple flavors that are so refreshing and yummy!

It’s a delightful cocktail that combines the tropical essence of pineapple juice, the mesmerizing blue hue of Blue Curacao, and the smooth, coconut-infused charm of Malibu Coconut Rum.

A glass of iced coffee, one of my favorite summer drinks, is topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, while chocolate syrup is drizzled on top. Coffee beans and cinnamon sticks are scattered nearby on the surface.

Iced Coffee with Ice Cream

Iced coffee with Ice Cream is a delightful drink that combines the best of the creamy goodness of ice cream and the rich flavor of coffee.

Also, whipping up this iced coffee with ice cream is simple and quick, making it the best little treat for summer days.

A close-up of a grapefruit cocktail in a glass with a salted rim, garnished with a grapefruit slice and a pink paper umbrella—one of my favorite summer drinks. Another similar drink is partially visible in the background.

Grapefruit Mocktail Recipe

This Grapefruit Mocktail Recipe with lime juice is a refreshing and tangy combination. The bitterness of grapefruit is nicely balanced out by the sourness of lime juice, making for a delicious and zesty drink.

Also, to balance the tanginess, I like adding a dash of agave syrup. And if you want to make a killer fruity drink, crushed ice is a must-have ingredient!

Two glasses of a creamy drink with ice, garnished with pineapple chunks and paper umbrellas, sit on a white surface—my favorite summer drinks—next to a yellow checkered cloth and a plate with sliced pineapple in the background.

Pina Colada Mocktail

This Pina Colada Mocktail Recipe is one of my favorites! It’s a refreshing tropical drink that’s perfect for sipping on a hot day.

The classic ingredients are pineapple juice, coconut cream, and ice, but you can also add some lime juice and sugar syrup to give it a bit of extra flavor!

A glass pitcher filled with one of my favorite summer drinks—a peach and citrus blend with ice, peach slices, orange slices, and lime—sits on a white surface with a clear glass, fruit slices, and a pink cocktail umbrella nearby.

White Wine Sangria Peach

Try this White Wine Sangria Peach recipe if you like a light and refreshing drink. This Sangria has a surprising twist: a sparkling white wine with peaches.

And to elevate this cocktail, add plenty of fresh peaches to the drink!

A glass jar and two glasses filled with iced tea, sliced strawberries, and other fruit—one of my favorite summer drinks—sit on a cloth outdoors against a bright, blurred garden backdrop.

How to Make Sun Tea

Sun tea is such an easy summer beverage to make that it is also inexpensive. Suppose you happen to have a cloudy day, no worries.

Place the tea in your home and let it steep indoors!

While growing up in California, my friends introduced me to sun tea. I’ve been making this drink ever since, and my husband and I love the taste.

A clear glass pitcher filled with fruit punch—one of my favorite summer drinks—contains visible slices of oranges, strawberries, and whole blueberries, and sits on a blue and white striped cloth.

Fruity Sangria Recipe

Here is a Super Fruity Sangria Recipe that is perfect for a summer party. It’s a simple, delicious summer drink that’s great for entertaining.

I love fruit, and this summertime drink infuses brandy and red wine into the fresh yummy fruit. On a warm summer day, this cold drink goes well with a BBQ dinner!

More Drinks From My Friends

A glass of dark berry slush—one of my favorite summer drinks—garnished with fresh blueberries and white jasmine flowers, with a sugared rim. The glass sits on a dark plate adorned with more berries, jasmine flowers, and sugar.

Frozen Blueberry Paloma

Frozen Blueberry Paloma…tis’ the season for fruity, frozen drinks! Try this recipe mixed simply with fresh grapefruit juice, blueberries, lime juice, and a good splash of blanco tequila.

A glass of iced red juice, one of my favorite summer drinks, sits on a rustic white table beside scattered blueberries and two decorative flowers. In the background, sunlight streams through a window, illuminating a white ornate vase of pink peonies.

Five Best Iced Tea Recipe

Each of these best iced tea recipes makes an iced tea that will quench your thirst and not leave a bitter aftertaste! Mix up a batch and keep it in the refrigerator for a budget-friendly and refreshing drink.

Latest Obsession – Cool Drinking Glasses

Four uniquely-shaped clear glass cups with transparent glass straws, three empty and one filled with an orange beverage and ice, are arranged against a white background—perfect for serving my favorite summer drinks.

Cool Glasses

I bought these and I’m completely obsessed! They’ve got that charming vintage vibe with just the right touch of modern flair — the perfect combo. When I shared them on Instagram, my followers went wild for them (and honestly, I get why!). They instantly add a splash of fun and personality to any summer drink, whether you’re serving up mocktails, iced tea, or something a little bubbly. They’re such an easy way to elevate your entertaining game!

This Week’s Tip – Sangria

A glass pitcher filled with one of my favorite summer drinks—a peach and citrus blend with ice, peach slices, orange slices, and lime—sits on a white surface with a clear glass, fruit slices, and a pink cocktail umbrella nearby.

Sangria Tip and Recipe

My husband recently grabbed a budget-friendly bottle of wine — hoping for a hidden gem — but let’s just say… it didn’t quite deliver. 😅 Not one to waste, he got creative and started chopping up whatever fruit we had on hand. A few easy additions later, and voilà — he turned that so-so wine into a surprisingly delicious homemade sangria!

He happily shared that it’s now his go-to summer drink, and I have to say, I’m totally on board! It’s so refreshing, fruity, and a really fun way to make the most of a not-so-great bottle of wine. I guess we’ll need to keep a good stash of oranges and berries around all the time!

My Amazon Finds – Summer Drinks

Three of my favorite summer drinks in clear, short glasses: one with ice and a pink berry drink, one with swirling cream in iced coffee, and another pink drink with berry pieces and bubbles.
Six colorful paper cocktail umbrellas in yellow, green, orange, blue, red, and pink with floral patterns are arranged in two rows on a white background—perfect accents for my favorite summer drinks.
A clear glass pitcher with a handle, partially filled with ice cubes, orange slices, and green and red grapes—perfect for serving my favorite summer drinks. The pitcher is empty except for the fruit and ice.
Four textured glasses filled with my favorite summer drinks and ice cubes, each garnished with fruit or herbs, are arranged in a group on a white background.

Hey there!

I’ll keep experimenting, creating, and sharing more fun recipes with you, because nothing says summer like a cool drink and a warm breeze.
