I’ve always loved fall leaves, so I added some paper leaves covered with pretty flannel plaid fabric. They are warm and inviting and they are a fun fall accent.

I hope you’re enjoying this week’s fall leaf craft projects! Today’s post is

DIY Fall Leaf Wreath

I must let you in on a secret. This project morphed into a garland. But, then I remembered this blog hop is about a fall wreath. So I quickly placed my leaf garland on my wreath and thought about how this project could be both fall accents.

If you need a fall garland then, you’re in luck. Just attach the leaves to a thick wire with a glue gun and you’re in business.

Supplies:

1 Grapevine Wreath (I used a 12-inch wreath)

Flannel Fabric – If you visit a quilt shop buy the samples of fabric. Otherwise, you’ll need about 1/4 of a yard of fabric

Brown Paper

Ribbon

Glue Gun

Glue Stick

Scissors

Step 2 – Cut Fabric Leaves

Step 3 – Glue the Paper Leaf and Fabric Leaf

Place the fabric leaf (pattern side up) on top of the paper leaf. Use a glue stick and glue the paper leaf to the fabric leaf. Then fold the leaf down the center of the leaf lengthwise.

Step 4 – Attach Leaves to a Grapevine Wreath

Add a dab of hot glue to the wreath with a glue gun and attach a leaf on top of the glue. Hold in place for a few minutes until the glue is set.

Step 5 – Add a Ribbon

Add a ribbon to your wreath if you like.
