Spring Corkboard Placemats

spring…
i had a few projects to complete, so this past weekend i finished a couple.  a while back i made laminated paper cork board place mats. well, i made enough place mats to launch the project on my blog, but i never made four of the same color.  so, i finally made four yellow ones so that we have a complete set that are all the same color.  i have a few projects that i need to complete and this was one of them.  it feels so good to have this one done and now we can all enjoy a placemat at our meals.  my family refused to use cloth placemats since they didn’t want to soil them.  :o)   if you are interested in making this project, check out this link: place mats  if you want them to be extra sturdy i found that you apply glue to both the backside of the laminated paper and front of the cork board place mat.  this guarantees a very strong bond!
also, i found some pretty flowers that went nicely in my vase…if you decorate with silk flowers don’t be afraid to bend the stems to get nice organic lines in your arrangement. also, it makes the flowers appear real.
now onto my next project, finding drapery for this room. bought some ikat drapes from west elm this weekend and they aren’t working in the space…ugh… off to the perpetual returning process! this mission may take a while. thanks for visiting and have a great week!
