My Favorite Thanksgiving Decor has always been about creating a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that feels both festive and timeless. From the dining table to the entryway, I love incorporating pieces that bring warmth and charm into every corner of the home. Whether it’s candles glowing softly, pumpkins tucked into little spaces, or seasonal wreaths on the front door, these decorations set the perfect tone for gathering and gratitude. There’s something about fall decor that just feels magical. The warm tones, the cozy textures, and the festive accents all come together to make a home feel extra inviting. Thanksgiving, in particular, has become one of my favorite times to decorate because it’s all about gathering, gratitude, and creating a welcoming space for family and friends. Honestly, I’m a little obsessed with Thanksgiving decor—it’s where fall coziness meets a touch of festive elegance. Since I’ve recently moved, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind unpacking boxes and trying to find inspiration for decorating our new home. My old decor found a new life in different rooms, and I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with how pieces can work in new spaces. Even though it’s been busy, diving into my Thanksgiving decorations has been the most exciting part of settling in!
It’s simple but instantly makes the space feel ready for a cozy holiday meal.
Decorating for Thanksgiving isn’t just about style—it’s about creating memories and a sense of comfort that everyone can enjoy.
One of my favorite decorating spots is the entryway!
It’s the first thing guests see when they walk in, and it sets the tone for the rest of the home.
It’s amazing how a few simple touches make such a big impact.

Where to Start if You’re Unsure
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure of where to start with your fall look, Thanksgiving decor is such a fun entry point.
Start with something small, like a centerpiece or a wreath, and build from there. You don’t have to redecorate your entire house—a few thoughtful touches can go a long way.
The best part is, these pieces can be mixed, matched, and styled in so many ways.
Mixing Old and New
What I love most about my Thanksgiving decor is how it blends old favorites with new crafts.
It’s all about making your home feel festive in a way that reflects you.
I’ve learned that there’s no wrong way to decorate for Thanksgiving—it’s about creating warmth, coziness, and gratitude in your own style.
Wrapping It All Up
Thanksgiving is such a beautiful holiday, and decorating for it makes the season even more special.
From the dining table to the entryway to the cozy living room, each space in my home feels ready for gathering and gratitude.
Moving into a new home has been busy, but finding the right spots for my favorite decor has made it feel complete.
A Personal Note from Janine
This Thanksgiving, we’re heading to Vermont to celebrate with my husband’s family, and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s been over 30 years since we last shared a Thanksgiving with my sweet mother-in-law, so this truly feels like a special gift.
The best part is that our whole family will be together, which means I’ll get to see my son who lives in Seattle—something I always look forward to. Family really is such a blessing. There was a time when I wasn’t sure we would ever have children, after many years of infertility. But through the gift of overseas adoption, we were given two amazing kids who have brought more joy into our lives than we ever imagined.
This year especially, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Our lives have shifted in big ways, and I’m more aware than ever of how deeply thankful I am—for family, for change, and for the love that continues to grow around us.
And a big heartfelt thank you to you for following along and supporting my journey! I’m so grateful for this wonderful community and for each of you who take the time to read my newsletter, try my recipes, or leave a kind comment. Your encouragement and connection mean so much, and I truly feel lucky to share this space with you.
Cheers,
