Saturday Chitchat with Janine – Volume 79
Happy Saturday,
My oldest graduated this summer and is currently working at Amazon in Seattle. Oh, how we miss him!
Thankfully we still have our daughter, who will be starting her junior year of college! Who has a kid or kids in school right now?
Since the school year has started for some, parents and families need quick, delicious meals to serve efficiently.
That’s why I’m here. I’m here to show you many recipes, meals, and snacks for you, your kids, and your family throughout the fall season.
Personal Note from Janine
Our son just moved to Seattle to begin his new life after graduating college. We are happy he is starting a new chapter in his exciting life.
He is ecstatic to have a full kitchen full of modern amenities. He loves food and cooking, so to finally have a modern kitchen is heavenly, in his opinion.
One of his latest obsessions is meal prepping. He makes all his weekly meals and freezes them in individual containers. I haven’t tried this efficient cooking method, but his process intrigues me!
It would be perfect to not have to cook some evenings and defrost a homemade meal!
So, don’t be surprised if I attempt it this winter and post my process here on the blog.
Saving time and money over the holidays sounds fabulous!

This Week’s Tip – Mozzarella Cheese
Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
Growing up, my mom made homemade pizza. She would buy her dough from an authentic Italian deli, and once home, she topped the pizza with fresh mozzarella.
Over the years, I made pizza but used shredded cheese since I felt it was convenient. Boy, I didn’t know what I was missing not using the fresh mozzarella.
I’m back to using the mozzarella my mom used, and I love it.
If you make your own pizza and haven’t used the fresh mozzarella, give it a try next time. Hopefully, you’ll love it as much as I do!
