Happy Saturday,

What did you have for breakfast? I had a cup of yogurt mixed with granola, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries.

Sometimes I want my first meal of the day to be simple, but other times, I want to spend more than 15 minutes cooking something up.

For those who are the same, this collection of breakfast recipes contains simple ideas and more challenging meals.

It’s nice to have a mix of easy to moderate leveled recipes on hand if you feel up for a challenge one morning.

To start serving new recipes, check out some of my ideas from the blog to then share with family, friends, and loved ones.

Personal Note from Janine

This gorgeous sitting area is from our trip to Provence a couple of years ago. This house came with an outdoor space and kitchen.

While staying at this countryside home, we dined al fresco.

Every morning my husband and I would enjoy our breakfast of fresh plums, baguettes, and tea in this spot. There is nothing quite as beautiful as sitting outside for a meal.

If you can, enjoy your breakfast outdoors! It’s such a refreshing way to begin a day.

Today, I’m dining outdoors at our campground up near Lake Shasta. Follow along on my Instagram account.

I’ll catch up with you next week!

This Week’s Tip – Farmfresh Eggs

Farm Fresh Egg Alternative

Some of us can’t buy fresh farm eggs, so here is an excellent alternative. Vital eggs are amazing, and the minute you crack open the egg, you’ll see that the yolks are a bright orange color.

These eggs come from farms that allow their chickens to forage through feeds for food. Surprisingly this environment creates healthier chickens and eggs.

Did you know that farm eggs are better for you? They contain more omega-3 fatty acids and less cholesterol and saturated fats.

I know these eggs are a bit more expensive than Costco’s eggs, but it’s worth it when it comes to a healthy diet!

Latest Obsession – The French Chef Cookbook

I’m crazy about everything, Julia!

My daughter and I bopped into our local thrift store the other day. I always check out their inventory of old cookbooks hoping to find a gem. I was lucky since this hardcover Julia Child cookbook sat on the shelf.

The price was $10, which in my mind felt like a little much, but when I got up to the counter to buy it, the salesperson mentioned it was half off! So, I got this magnificent vintage cookbook for a whole five dollars.

Tonight I’m making Julia’s Queen of Sheba Chocolate cake for our wedding anniversary. I’m super excited to journey through this book with you and discover all the delicious recipes.

Hello friends,

I hope you loved this collection of the best recipes for breakfast. I’m starting to crave breakfast food more than anything right now!

Wherever you are, I hope you are enjoying summer while also spending time in the kitchen making some of these recipes.

Stay tuned for more recipes on the blog!

Cheers,
