Saturday Chitchat with Janine – Volume 56
Happy Saturday,
This weekend will be a relaxing one full of spending quality time with family and enjoying the excellent weather!
I deserve a relaxing weekend because I have been a busy bee this whole week, from cooking and baking to doing photoshoots and handling ordinary life. It’s been go, go, go!
Thankfully, I checked off everything on my to-do list, and now it’s time to sit back and relax. I’m curious, how do you organize your tasks throughout the day?
Whether you write it down, make a list, or remember it all. It’s different for everyone. To help make your tasks less stressful, here are some favorite family recipes that are simple enough to make in no time during the week.
A Personal Note from Janine
Good Morning!
I hope you’re having a relaxing Saturday.
I want to share with you a few of our daily routines.
You see, my husband and I are creatures of habit.
After a long day of work, most evenings, we plop ourselves down in our living room. I sit all curled up on the sofa wrapped in my faux fur blanket, and he in his gigantic faux fur bean bag chair.
And alongside each of us are our bowls of homemade popcorn.
Over the years, Mr. Waite has experimented with popcorn making. From stovetop pots with vegetable oil to his Zippy Popcorn Maker and extra virgin olive oil.
A little tidbit about him is that he likes to figure out the best way to scramble eggs, cook beef bourguignon, cook mussels in white wine, and most of all, the best way to make olive oil popcorn.
My husband has always loved cooking, and over this pandemic, he has joined in baking. We prefer homemade meals over dinners out.
What this means to the blog is more of our family dinner recipes will start showing up over here.
Well, I hope you enjoy this new Saturday Chitchat!
Cheers,
